Peter Bradley, Jr. and Stephen Easley of The Buddy Holly Educational Foundation, Lacey McRight Chataignier of the Louisiana Economic Development Commission and Tim Collins of the Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association will explain how their respective organizations support the songwriter, artist and other creative endeavors in their communities. Tim will also show off the nearly completed performing arts center – The Buddy Holly Hall, the pride of Lubbock.
BMG EVP of Music Publishing Catalogs David Hirshland, New Orleans attorney Dino Gankendorff of Provosty & Gankendorff and Artist/Songwriter CC Adcock will go through the process of protecting and exploiting your songs. The panel will cover Copyright basics, how your songs earn money, the various publishing deals available as well as updating the community with the latest legal and legislative developments that affect your income such as the current Music Modernization Act working its way through the U.S. Congress.
